- Temperature Resistance: certified to withstand external furnace temperatures up to 1700 degrees Fahrenheit (927 degree's Celsius) Paper documents will be protected for 1 Hour under these conditions
- Explosion Hazard Rating: Cabinet is subjected to a flash-heating test of 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit to guarantee that sudden heat will not cause moisture trapped in the Insulation layer to build pressure and cause a structural explosion
- 30 Foot drop test: (Impact) The cabinet is heated to 1500 degrees Fahrenheit and dropped from a height of 30' simulating a three-Story fall to earn certification
- Ficobec lateral units typically utilize a Central Plunger Key Lock (Push to lock Cylinder) this one-key control will activate a vertical steel linkage bar hidden inside the insulated walls. This single action locks all 4 drawers simultaneously
- Recessed pull bars across full width of drawer constructed of aluminum/steel
- Thumb latches: Hidden right next or inside the pull handle is an automatic thumb latch, you must depress or pull this trigger to release that specific drawer from the internal cabinet Rail, preventing drawers from rolling open
- High-security Cores: Ficobec generally use drill resistant, pick resistant cylinders (often manufactured by specialty lock companies such as (Chubb, Wesko, or Medeco) If the cabinet has no keys take a clear photo of that locks code, online Canadian locksmith specialists like AcmeKey.ca Replacement Keys can use that code to cut you an original factory spec replacement key for a few dollars, saving you a locksmith house-call

Location: This unit is located at the Alberta Innovates location at 250 Karl Clark Road in Edmonton, Alberta. Prior arrrangements to view must be made with Isaac Yu at (780) 940-8605, Monday thru Friday 8:30am - 3:00pm. Closed for lunch between 12:00 and 1:00pm daily. Successful bidder will be required to produce proof of purchase and Driver’s License or Government issued Picture ID when picking up item(s)
