Item Details

At the Cold lake Fish Hatchery, vertical degassing columns strip supersaturated nitrogen and carbon dioxide from incoming source water

Construction: Robust fiberglass housings topped with secure metal hatch lids and service covers
Purpose of degassing columns:

Remove excess nitrogen and carbon monoxide (CO2)to prevent gas bubble disease in fish
Boost Oxygen: Re-Oxygenate or saturate the water as it cascades down internal packing media
Maintain flow: Provide stable, treated water flow directly into hatchery rearing units

Metal access Hatches and maintenance

Sealed Lids: Heavy-duty metal or reinforced access lids seal the top ports against ambient air leaks and moisture spray
Easy inspection: Allows operators to safely check internal packing media compaction or water distribution patterns
Corrosion protection: Fabricated from treated aluminum or stainless steel to withstand high humidity and wet hatchery environments
48" Diameter 6' H.

Note: Units are tough to move - must have a flatbed trailer to strap down
