All references to Service Alberta, Surplus Sales mean His Majesty the King in right of Alberta. His Majesty the King in right of Alberta, as represented by the Minister of Service Alberta (“Surplus Sales”) reserves the right to accept or reject any bid in whole or in part. Surplus Sales reserves the right to withdraw any goods before the sale closing date and time.

All goods are sold on an "As Is, Where Is" basis.  There are no warranties, conditions or any representations with respect to the goods, either expressed or implied, including any warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

Surplus Sales makes every effort to accurately describe all goods, however Surplus Sales does not warrant the description in any manner.  Bidders are deemed to have relied entirely on their own inspection and evaluation.  ALL SALES ARE FINAL.  There are no refunds or adjustments.

Subject to the terms and conditions of sale, title to and risk for the goods pass to the bidder upon notification from Surplus Sales or Surplus Sales' subcontractors acceptance of bidder's bid.

Surplus Sales is not responsible for any claims, demands, or actions of any nature that may be suffered by the bidder, the bidder's employees, subcontractors or agents, in relation to the goods including the sale, handling, removal, use, dismantling, decontamination or destruction of the goods.

The bidder agrees to hold harmless Surplus Sales and Surplus Sales' employees, subcontractors and agents for any and all claims, demands or actions, in relation to the goods for which the bidder is legally responsible, including those arising out of the negligence, willful acts of the bidder, the bidder's employees, subcontractors or agents.

Service Alberta, Surplus Sales collects personal information via our web services in compliance with section 32 (c) of the FOIP Act. The information collected includes IP address, client domain name, date, time, elapsed time, type of request, files requested, and the bytes received and sent to the client. We also collect voluntary user information supplied by the client. Service Alberta, Surplus Sales does not use cookies.

We use personal information collected through our web services in compliance with section 37 (1) of the FOIP Act. This usage includes:

  • Improving our site’s functionality and design,
  • Ensuring our clients have access to appropriate information and services,
  • Gaining client feedback on our information and services, and
  • Collecting usage statistics and trends.
